We would like to take a moment to say welcome to Henry Elementary.  We are the Henry PTA and we are very happy to have you here as a part of our school. We will be happy to help you find your way around and answer any questions you may have.  If you are new to Henry, you may not be aware what PTA is or what it does.  We would like to briefly share with you who we are and the exciting things we do at Henry Elementary.

Our Mission:  The mission of the PTA is to build a strong community of parents, teachers, students, and administrative staff.  As a community we will work together to fill the gaps left by our school district.  We will organize numerous events so that the monies brought in by these events can be the financial basis for PE, art and music programs at Henry.  We will of course always support our teachers in any way possible.  The PTA will be a powerful voice for all our children, a relevant resource for families and community, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

We accomplish this by:  Supplying a venue for parents and teachers to come together.  We wish to sponsor great events where everyone has an opportunity to get to know each other.  We make sure that our school's needs are met when the district is not able to provide needed services.  We provide the extra educational experience by sponsoring curricular programs such as PE and Music, special assemblies and support the science fair.

Our biggest job is fund raising to accomplish the fore mentioned.  It is important to us that our fund raising is family friendly.  We work very hard to bring the kind of events that Henry's families can enjoy together.  We would not be able to accomplish all of this if it weren't for the volunteers.  We are always looking for help. Getting involved is a great way to learn the ins and outs of what makes Henry the great school and community that it is.
